Photography, for me, is an act of preservation and transformation. Each image begins as a fleeting encounter, a reflection, a gesture, a fragment of the everyday, yet through craft, patience, and vision, it becomes something enduring. My work is rooted in the belief that the camera is not merely a tool of documentation, but a medium for creating objects of meaning and permanence.
I am particularly drawn to processes that honor both tradition and innovation. The dye transfer technique, which I employ in works such as "Mirror", embodies this balance. Its precision, richness, and rarity imbue the print with a tactile and luminous quality rarely achievable in contemporary practice. Similarly, my use of the platinum palladium printing process draws on one of photography's most revered historic methods, prized for its tonal depth, permanence, and subtle beauty. Images such as "Praying Hands" and "Lost in Thought" are powerful examples of this timeless technique.
Across these series, my guiding intent is to elevate what might otherwise be overlooked: the shimmer of a reflection, the playful shadows creating depth, the cultural significance of an ebbing tradition, the poise of a hand. These are not simply images, but meditations, invitations for the viewer to pause, reflect, and inhabit a deeper space of perception.
My practice ultimately bridges two worlds: the legacy of photographic craft and the immediacy of contemporary visual culture. Whether placed in a collector's home, a gallery, or a designated interior, my prints are not only works of art but anchors of presence, objects that resonate, endure, and invite return.
