Cities

These photographs were made during my first journey to China in 2017. Expecting to find remnants of older urban life, instead I encountered cities defined by rapid transformation and modern ambition. The images stand as a record of the moment, and of the questions it left behind. Those questions would ultimately lead me back to China years later, searching beyond the skylines for the traditions and communities still carrying the country’s cultural inheritance forward.
