Udaipur

Udaipur is often remembered for its lakes, palaces, and architecture. What remained with me was the people whose daily lives unfolded among them. Craftsmen, families, and neighbors carried forward traditions not as performances, but as ordinary parts of everyday life. In workshops, courtyards, and narrow streets, culture was not preserved behind glass. It was practiced. These photographs document the people whose work, customs, and relationships continue to give the city its character.
