David’s Insight on “Moonlight Harmony"
New Zealand is a spectacular place to star gaze, hosting 5 of the 17 Dark Sky Reserves worldwide. The infamous Wanaka Tree, a symbol of hope, was attacked in March of 2020. Several limbs were sawn off and left on the shore leaving the tree lopsided. In this composition, it works to my advantage, reaching to the right with the Milky Way above strung out to the left. The Mysterious Kiwi Bird is visible in the galactic core and a full moon brightened the scene naturally. A picture of perfect harmony.
