David’s Insight on “Sunrise Over Good Shepherd”
This morning on Lake Tekapo felt too good to be true. With the sun rising, painting the sky these bright golden pinks, I took an iPhone shot so that I could have proof of how vibrant the colors were. The pink refection off the windows of the Church of the Good Shepherd was icing on the cake. This was one of those unexpected, epic moments. After two early mornings of overcast, thick winter clouds, and a not so promising forecast, I almost bailed on this morning. A reminder that persistence pays off and life is unpredictable by nature.
“We need to be reminded sometimes that a sunrise last but a few minutes. But its beauty can burn in our hearts eternally.” - R.A. Salvatore
