#73 Tuesday’s with David - “Victoria Station at Night”

David’s Insight on Victoria Station at Night

The oldest train station in Mumbai, built over 130 years ago, was renamed in 1986 to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. The historic terminal was designed by a British born architect and originally named during the reign of Queen Elizabeth, taking 10 years to build. The station was constructed in the image of a watercolor sketch by Axel Haig. Today it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and continues to function as a busy train station. It is an incredibly ornate structure, showing all its splendor at night. This shot was captured standing in the intersection with the traffic flowing in all directions.
