David’s Insight on “Zen”
Bonsai Rock, located on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, is a study in dualism. The physical struggle of the bonsai trees, surviving against the odds, and the emotional essence of harmony and balance created by the scene. Smoothing out the water with a long exposure adds a sense of mystery and simplicity to this peaceful image. The trail to reach this location is short but very steep on sandy ground. The rewards are worth the efforts.
