
David’s Insight on “Artist's Palette"
One of the most popular tracks in Death Valley National Park is the Artists Drive. It winds through the hills carved by the erosion of water, unfolding views of the Black Mountains and the white salt flats. The colors splashed across the hills are from ancient volcanic deposits of differing compounds. Captured in the dramatic afternoon light with the watchful moon overhead.
