David’s Insight on “Cowboy”
In the beautiful wide-open spaces of Wyoming, much of the cattle ranching is still performed without fencing. On this morning, the riders were looking for their free-range heard amongst hundreds of acres of open land. Shooting moving subjects in the early morning light is challenging. Shooting into the light created this gorgeous semi silhouette of cowboy Scott captured at the outset of the quest. This hauntingly beautiful photo represents a way of life that is quickly disappearing in the American West.
