David’s Insight on “True Grit”
In speaking with a ranch owner in Wyoming, it seems that there is a new trend coursing through the ranching states out West. Apparently, the “modern” cowboy only wants to ride. Shunning the traditional role of a well-rounded ranch worker, one that fixes all manner of things including fences, does stable chores, calving, branding etc.It’s getting difficult to find the “old school” cowboy. One with true grit. This is a portrait of an authentic cowboy, a good guy in a black hat.
