David’s Insight on “Quilted Greens"
The Palouse Area of Southeastern Washington is home to the most productive wheat growing farms in the United States. With 5 million acres of rolling farmland, there are expansive views in all directions. Referred to as the “Tuscany of America”, this farm region of rolling hills has been designated as one of the Seven Wonders of Washington State. The carpet of green fields appears knitted together like a quilt in a dance with the long shadows of the late morning. This image was captured in mid-June prior to harvest. View the video below to get a sense of the expanse of this gorgeous area.
David, that was stunning and educational. I hate to admit that I was unaware of its existence, but I am thankful that I do now.
