“Groovy” emanates good vibes. This genuine smile was captured in the mountain region of Sri Lanka. Kandy is located in the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka, where the tea and rice farms flourish. Strolling the streets of the small village with a medium format camera attracts some attention. These open, friendly people are easy to engage as the children practice their greetings in English and giggles fill the air. Little storefronts and vendors line the narrow streets. This gentleman was selling his fresh catch of the day. These small villages retain the true feeling of a neighborhood, an easy camaraderie is palpable between the residents.
