David’s Insight on “Making Pho”
Pho is a Vietnamese soup with a beef and rice noodle base. It is such popular dish in Vietnam that it is considered the National Dish. It is served at home, in restaurants and street stalls like this one. In Hanoi these street kitchens seem to be on every corner, preparing the fresh soup in batches, serving a constant stream of customers. I chose platinum for this image because the simple scene is timeless. It is the first image in my “Trade Series” which documents 3 Vietnamese shops.
