#64 Tuesday’s with David - “Mechanic” Platinum

This joyful mechanic is part of my “Through the Eyes of the Streets” series printed in platinum in collaboration with master printer Martin Axon. This series showcases the working people that make up the neighborhoods in South, Southeast Asia. This authentic smile was captured on a side street in Siem Reap, Cambodia with a medium format camera system. This type of street photography requires an interaction with my subject and the resulting portraits feel more familiar and intimate. There is a sense of pride that radiates from tradespeople perfecting their crafts. This series celebrates them.
