David’s Insight on “Barber”
This cool barber was captured in Mumbai, India on the eve of his wedding day. He was using a homemade concoction to dye the few strands of grey hair out of his thick mane. He seemed to have a loyal base of customers that he serviced from a tiny storefront in this one chair. Located in the area known as the Industrial Slum, these shop owners are the fabric of their communities. Even though the surrounding area was downtrodden, it is a neighborhood that exudes the spirit of friendship.This image is part of my “Through the Eyes of the Streets” Series printed in platinum.
