David’s Insight on “Green Acres”
A road trip through New Zealand’s South Island in the Winter was a microcosm of diversity. Within a couple of hours drive, you are standing alongside a glacier lake, at a sandy beach, or passing these incredible acres of green fields. It seems implausible that this can all happen simultaneously on a relatively small island in the Pacific Ocean. This was literally a “stop here” moment where I set up alongside the road to capture this peaceful scene. There is an idyllic gentleness about the woven green layers.
“In the depth of winter, I finally learned that there was in me an invincible summer” - Albert Camus
