#88 Tuesday’s with David - “Peeler”

David’s Insight on “Peeler” Kandy, Sri Lanka

The mountain town of Kandy, Sri Lanka is about 60 miles outside of Colombo. A small town of friendly neighbors set amidst the picturesque hills. Lining the streets were fisherman selling their catch, farmers tending produce stands, children shyly practicing their English greetings and this man in charge of peeling Jackfruit. The tropical fruit grows on a tree, is used as a meat replacement for vegans and is very messy to peel. This image is part of my “Through the Eyes of the Streets” series which showcases the crafters and small business owners that make up the fabric of these neighborhoods.
