The rooster is an important symbol in Balinese culture.  The prized birds represent masculinity, courage and social status. The men of the village spend time training and caring for their prized birds.  In Bali’s oldest traditional village, Tenganan Village, the relationship between man and his roosters’ blends tradition, spirituality and is a part of daily life.
