David’s Insight on “Cape Native” Cape Cod, Massachusetts
There is a place where people gather on the elbow of Cape Cod to gaze out on the ocean. A proud lighthouse stands guard over the beach, bathed in the sounds of the sea. The old salts as they are lovingly known can be seen amongst the wash a shores and the tourists, never quite belonging but exquisitely at home. On this day, I was privileged to capture this portrait of a true cape codder. His Vietnam vet hat, bullet hole stickers, and old truck with the vintage horn hold his history, a story all his own. The sea has a way of shaping those who live by it.
